Not a bad little session. At first I thought about rigging my 6.3m and big board as the wind was only about 16-18 knots, but then a big gust came through that reached 27 knots on my anenometer, so I decided totrig my 5m and my Hifly instead.

It turned out to be the right choice once I got on the water. Although gusty I was well powered up and most of the time well-overpowered. It took me a while to get settled as I had to adjust harness lines and outhaul on my new sail to get comfortable and things felt weird using my old Hifly board. I now remember why I wanted newer boards for the waves. That thing is just far too fast and far too heavy. All of which led to some pretty high jumps off the steep ramps, and some pretty heavy landings/crashes. It also has really sharp rails which just didn't help when I was trying to carve around on the face of the waves.

Still, it was good fun and I didn't break any kit!!

Shem came to the beach and flew his little kite for about 5 minutes and then went again.

It was also surprisingly warm out there.... Too warm with all my neoprene on in fact.
